AOT Dynamics (“we,” “us,” or “our”) built the Shift Core application as a commercial-grade, offline-first task and shift management tool. This page is used to inform users regarding our policies with the collection, use, and disclosure of Personal Information for anyone using our Service.
1 The Zero-Cloud Promise
Shift Core is engineered with a strict zero-cloud architecture. We believe your operational data belongs exclusively to you.
✓ We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your data on remote servers.
✓ We do not harvest analytics, track your location remotely, or sell your personal information.
✓ All tasks, shift logs, photos, notes, and signatures created within Shift Core are saved directly to your device’s local storage via a local SQLite database.
2 Device Permissions
To provide the core functionalities of Shift Core, we may request access to certain features on your mobile device. All data accessed by these permissions remains on your device.
- Camera & Photo Library: Required to allow you to capture photos and attach them to your task logs and PDF reports.
- Storage / Files: Required to generate, save, and export your PDF reports, CSV files, and to facilitate the scheduled local backup features.
- Microphone (Optional/Future): If voice notes are utilized, audio is recorded and stored entirely locally.
You may change your access permissions at any time through your device’s settings.
3 Data Retention and Deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have absolute control over your data retention.
- You can delete individual shifts, tasks, or photos directly within the app.
- Uninstalling Shift Core from your device will permanently delete the local database and all associated app data.
- We highly recommend utilizing the app’s built-in local backup and export features to prevent accidental data loss in the event your device is lost or damaged.
4 Third-Party Access
Because Shift Core operates offline and does not connect to AOT Dynamics’ servers, we do not share your data with any third-party services, advertisers, or analytics providers.
5 Security
We value your trust in using Shift Core. Because your data remains on your physical device, the security of your shift logs relies on your device’s built-in security features such as passcodes, biometrics, and device encryption. We recommend keeping your device’s operating system updated to ensure your local data is protected.
6 Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
7 Governing Law
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
